Weather
In this basin 28 inches of snow fell since 1pm on March 8, and before 9am March 10. Most significant amounts were 8" between 2am and 4am March 9. Temps this morning about 16F, calm westerly winds, a few clouds hanging on the ridges.
Snowpack
Various layers of depth hoar, faceting snow, finger hard soft slabs, surface hoar crystals, temp crusts, and fresh storm snow on the surface. The weak layers have been persistent since mid February. In this mostly wind free, shaded basin at about 10,300', the snowpack is 75-88 inches deep, seasonal snowfall is 209 inches
