2cm accumulation through the day. Calm to light NW winds.

Snowpack

See pit. 15cm HST. Skiing storm snow felt “thick” and “chalky” and slow. Skied more like 2ft of fresh due to buried near surface facets. Little wind effect in the new snow on Snodgrass, though more in Washington Gulch and Anthracite Mesa. Storm snow is mostly un-cohesive. Saw consistent failure in the storm snow 10cm below surface and at interface of new and old snow on surface hoar/near surface facets 15cm below surface (CTM PC, ECTN 16). At pit the entire snowpack showed obvious faceting. Still seeing compression test result on Nov facets/depth hoar 15cm off the ground (CTH, SC), but no results with the extended column.
