Beautiful day, as nice as it gets at Monarch in January.

Snowpack

No observed signs of instability. HS of 60-70cm seemed typical of the area at pass level. The snowpack has evolved into mostly faceted grains just waiting for a load to initiate a widespread avalanche cycle. Widespread SH formation up to 8mm.
