About 6 inches of new snow in parking lot when we arrived, with temps in single digits. Sunny for the whole trip to the hut. Light winds when we broke out above tree line.
Snowpack
On arrival at the Fowler-Hilliard hut, we noticed a fracture near the top of the east aspect of Resolution Mountain. It appeared it had been there a few days, and been covered by the new snow. Hard to tell from the angle, but I estimate the crown to be about 20 feet wide, and perhaps a foot deep. Debris ran a good way down the hill, estimated to be about 250 yards or so.
