Snowpack

The snowpack is mostly shallow (~2') on south aspects near treeline. The northwest-facing slope I visited near treeline was heavily cross-loaded and much deeper (~5'). It had a had a substantial mid-pack that was somewhat stubborn, but showed the potential for propagation in snowpack tests. Below treeline, a settled storm slab (persistent slab) rests on very weak snow.
