Snowpack
Rode near on noted aspects between 11'500 and 8'500 feet. Experience major and consistent collapsing from 10500ft and below on NW-NNE aspects. Basically every single turn I made I would punch through. I chose a carefully picked, heavily treed line that was 30 degrees or less steepness except for a few convex rolls that I went around. Triggered a small slide, class 1 that ran off a convex roll around a rock band. I was not caught, it occurred as I was traversing around the terrain feature, as I felt strongly it would collapse I were to ride over it. It was to the ground. On the rocks there were very large facets visible as the weak layer that failed.
