CAIC Observation Report

Snowpack

Tour up Splain's Gulch. 15 cm of new snow and HS varied from 30-50cm. Light snow (S-1) and calm winds. Snowpack uniformly weak (F-4F) with boot penetration to the ground. Skiing was mostly supportive in deeper areas but punchy around shallow areas and rocks. Airtemp of -1.5C. Observed no signs of instabilities.
