Snowpack
The route up through forest was fairly well tracked up. Trails went off in every direction. Quick pole tests showed basically faceted grains with little resistance to probe. At treeline there was a wind slab, some 5 to 10 cm thick in the open meadows. Fairly 'trap-door' traveling in that sometimes the wind slab was thick enough & supportive Other areas not so much. Had a text book result on an ECT test. Reutsch Block score of two. (See attached snow pit).
