Weather
Overcast, calm (light wind maybe 5 mph) (prior to noon, wind and snow began around 12:30 PM)
Snowpack
Highly variable below treeline, although coverage is definitely improving (only hit one or two rocks while skiing). Heavier, stiffer new snow layter at treeline. Some cracking and collapsing of the snowpack at treeline. We expected to see some failure on the basal facet layer in our pit tests, but did not get any. Did get the storm slab to pop out. Pretty significant temperature gradient, expect to see further development of facets in the bottom ~50 cm of the snowpack.
