Mt Indefatigable/ Invincible

I don’t get to use the word perfect often enough, but conditions today were perfect. Skied from inter lakes parking to blackshale creek on Smith Dorien. -8 clear to start. Light SW wind all day was pleasantly cool but never breezy. Crampons needed for lower elevation only. Cloud obscured sun for first hour of daylight, then thin high altitude kept most of the punch off solar slopes all day. Completed last south facing climb around 11am, no moistening at that point. Climbs were 5cm of fresh firm wind sift on top of grippy but solid crust, easy travel no slipping. Ski lines were cold winter snow, no wind affect or slabbing, just ankle top powder. Snow was only starting to get moist at lowest elevations as we crossed the creek, no glopping. Just a gentle pleasant day in the kananaskis with some great skiing.
