Strong ridge top winds appeared to keep ALP and TL exposed slopes cool throughout the day. Sheltered BTL temperatures rose up to -0.3C however the snow surface remained cool and dry.

Down 15cm the new / old snow interface hasn't had much time to settle and is producing repeated easy to moderate sudden results. Down 40 cm a thin layer of lower density snow is producing repeated moderate to hard sudden results. An extended column test showed that neither layer is likely to propogate. Watched patrol ski cut ( Sc ) several small ( Sz 1) loose dry avalanches near ridge top in the immediate lee.
