-23 and high friction snow. Very slow. We saw no wind effects on the 10-20cm storm snow, but stayed in the shelter trees. Below the fresh snow was very faceted snowpack to the ground that was challenging to travel on in steeper terrain. Facets were moist near the ground but drier in the mid snowpack and didn’t clump together very well near the top.
