Very icy skin up to Chockstone Couloir. Observed an overhead Avy come off one of the benches on the north facing slope (see photo), sun and warming presumed causes of it. No other avalanche signs through the day. North facing snow was surprisingly good, but all other aspects icy hardpack. Couloir itself was 3 kicks into the snow just to get footing. Firm as can be.
