Couple of laps on Black Prince. The first lap we rode the Ridgeline that leads into the avy shoot/ravine. We didn't stay in the run out, couple of decent turns and then back skiers left into the trees. About 15cm of new snow sits on a hard icy crust. Riding was ok but the crust is very noticeable and negatively impacts riding conditions. Second lap up the temperature rise was impacting surface snow, made for a wet, sticky surface snow. Temperatures increased to around 0 degrees. Started at -7 only a few hours before. Second descent was through the trees. Crust more prevalent but consistent 15cm of storm snow on top. Snow pack feels supportive but that's due to the crust layer.
