Barnes/Elliot explore

90-140cm snow depending on elevation, 10-15 cm of fresh in sheltered spots sitting on a firm supportive midpack (40cm), but facet factory below...easy to get stuck if you're throttle happy and haven't kept your momentum majority of ridges and slopes windaffected surfaces cornice nuggets at south end of Barnes Lake likely from a few days ago or last week?? no other avalanche activity ran into unsupported faceted snow 50cm bottom of avalanche alley and had to turn around
