Flying around the South Rockies

Flying around the upper Elk Valley, Bull River and Wildhorse areas in a cessna 172, we saw numerous slab avalanches 1-4 days old that had likely failed on the deep persistent layer from early in the season. Seems like there is still high potential for remote triggering a big feature from overhead, especially in the alpine in these areas.
