Ankle deep

30 to 50 cm of soft, fluffy snow since the weekend makes for some slow travel! With limited time after the highway opened today, we only made it to the top of the dense trees. We didn't find slab properties in the snow up to that point but saw and heard wind effect above our stopping point. Wind slabs are likely the main concern above the trees but exceptionally soft and deep conditions can be found in sheltered terrain. Our only concern would be dry loose stuffing into terrain traps where slab properties aren't found.
