In Sister 6, the most recent storm snow sits on top of a 1F slab that overlays faceted grains. A melt-freeze crust was observed about 12cm above the ground, with depth hoar below. See pit profile for more detail. ECTP15 just below the melt-freeze crust. I'm not sure how far down the slope this melt-freeze crust continues--it may have been cleaned out further down the path with control work in November.
