Weather

Nice morning with a few clouds in the sky and a brisk NW wind.

Snowpack

At location of obs, the snowpack ranged from 40cm to 140cm. The upper 5cm was a 1F wind board that sat on top of a F layer of 1mm near surface facets. Below this the snowpack consisted of rounds and got progressively harder, from 4F to P at the ground. The bottom 10-20cm of the snowpack consisted of snow remaining from earlier in October and preserved as a pencil hard melt-freeze crust on the ground.
