Weather
Winds were moderate with strong gusts out of the NW. The morning was clear and some small clouds (FEW) starting moving in around 10:00. No precipitation, but loose snow was still be transported.
Snowpack
Snow is still soft on northern aspects. Areas impacted by the wind still showed some signs of instability within the top foot and a half of the (where I observed) and it is reasonable to assume that in a more shallow area a slide in this layer could step down to a persistent layer of facets close to the ground.
Avalanche
Saw several small and loose wind slabs triggered by skiers on N-NE aspects. I triggered one remotely while skiing a recently and lightly loaded area (see photo). The slides were <10cm thick.
