Weather

Mostly clear with some low level clouds and snow whipping through the summit gap. Too windy for effective transport onto lee features with random drifts on the road only

Snowpack

HS at roadside plot of 16" seems a good representation of the N side and the N side cutbanks. Headwall and Schnauzer are very rough and almost devoid of snow. Christmas storm HST was around 11" and some micro slabs were observed in the north side cutbanks with the HST failing on weak faceted snow. Snow from that Christmas storm was redistributed by generally S wind and the current N wind is too strong to load lee features and the snow is just sublimating
