Weather
Warm and sunny. Winds were light out of the northwest and radiation was intense. Temperatures rose rapidly through the morning and into the afternoon, topping out well above freezing.
Snowpack
The snowpack is gaining strength both in upper layers, and in older, buried weak layers. PSa structure still exists but was unreactive to snowpack tests. The midpack slab is quite strong and it would take a very large load to initiate an avalanche on the basal weak layers. I suspect the next issue for the Brooklyns will be melt water and the transition to a spring snowpack.
Avalanche
No new avalanche activity observed.
