Overcast, felt about 2° C (35 ° F) 6:30 AM, I was on the booth falls trail. W aspect. Maybe 9,000 ft elevation.

Snowpack

Recent storm slab over a crusty layer. The slide I saw looked to have broken on a slab about 25-30 cm thick.

Avalanche

I came upon a slide along the booth falls traiI. I was about 3/4 way up to booth falls (9000 ft) when I found the debris pile right on the boot packed trail. I went up a bit further and dug a quick pit along the same W aspect. The storm slab collapsed at four taps. It is pretty recent snow so take my test with a grain of salt.
