Snowpack

Spring snowpack - almost. It appears the avalanche slid at the same dirty crust interface as all the other recent avalanches. Using binoculars, the dirty bed surface and large debris field were obvious. Did not get close to this slide, but this crust has been showing persistent instability in hasty pits on all aspects around treeline in this area for a couple of weeks now. Seems like the warmth is waking up some dragons.
