Snow started around 6am, wind was moderate but picked up by noon
Snowpack
Left side of tree chute 6” deep, mostly old snow, right side 2-3’ deep and loading from wind.
Avalanche
Nw aspect ~11,440 ft below treeline in stop chutes section of hells half acre, second to last chute before hanging meadow. wind skin broke from above tree chute, afterword fracture initiated on first turn below ~1-2’ deep, chunks continued sliding to skiers right trees after initial release Upon return to bench above the wind had mostly resheeted runnel/bed surface, aside from skiers right side of crown and a few larger blocks. Not safe to measure debris pile due to overhead hazard from other tree chutes Unsure of overall crown depth and slab size due to wind shifting and loading it back up before returning for photos, soft slab d1
