Weather

On and off snow showers with patches of sun. Little to no accumulation. Light winds, temps in the 20s. 8000-10000 ft

Snowpack

100cm depth on WSW aspect @ 9500' ECT13 on a 5cm thick layer of sugar apx. 40 cm from ground. Failure propagated and was planar. Slab was 1 finger hardness. Sugar was fist hardness and very weak. Basal layer was faceted but more cohesive than the weak layer. Felt several settles on this aspect as well as more northerly aspects.

Avalanche

Observed a apx 300ft wide crown 1.5 miles NE of Dome Peak off pt. 10220. Slide ran on a 35 deg E aspect and did not appear to fail at the ground. Unknown crown height, unknown trigger, unknown age.
