Patchy showers punctuated by moments of diffuse sunshine. Only a trace of new snow accumulated as of noon since this morning. Calm and mild.
Snowpack
Six inches of new snow fell overnight and sits on crusts of various thickness, depending on aspect. Crusts are up to 8" thick on southerlies, while fragile and as thin as .5" on northerly terrain. New snow came in warm and is mostly bonding well with the recently-formed melt-freeze crusts underneath. This interface could become more problematic and prone to human triggering with more load (as is expected) and in steep terrain. Snowpit tests did reveal poor bonding at this interface on northerly facing slopes (CT4 SP) and also showed weakness below the melt freeze crust, roughly 1 foot below the snow surface (CT24 SC).

No new slides observed with periods of good visibility up to the summits.
