Weather

Light snow (S-1) and L wind gusting M leaving TH (9400ft) around 0500. Overcast. Weather deteriorated as elevation increased. ATL/NTL: Poor visibility, bursts of increasing snowfall rate (max observed S1+), M winds gusting S, significant wind transport in new snow loading in specific features (up to ~5cm). New snow was cold and cohesionless. Observed ~1-3cm new snow upon return to TH at 0900. The sun did not have any noticeable effect on surface conditions for the duration of the tour.

Snowpack

superficial overnight refreeze. Surface Melt freeze crust was supportable on skis. Boot pen observed on NE aspect ATL ranged from 5 to 30cm. Snow below MFcr was wet and cohesive. Skiing was edgeable but very uninspiring. I did not punch through the crust on my descent.
