Snowpack
The snowpack surface was wet over supportive crust on low-angle NW aspects. On steeper > 30 slopes, the snowpack surface crust softened to 1 cm deep at about 1:30 PM. The snowpack on the steeper slopes near and about 1 m downslope from the cliffs was mostly winter snow except for the upper 9 cm, where the snowpack was moist. Rollerballs and small WL avalanches ran yesterday within the new snow that fell on 4/17/2022. This activity seemed to run its course yesterday. The bottom of the snowpack consists of cold, well-developed DH with a stability test of ECT23 on this layer. See snowpit for more details.
