Cold, clear, calm.

Snowpack

On easterly aspects near treeline, there was 10" of new snow on top of sun crust. Did not dig into the snowpack to see what was underneath. Above treeline, easterly slopes that avalanched during late Dec/early January are fully reloaded.

Avalanche

Driving on Hwy 40 towards Empire I observed an avalanche on a NE aspect near treeline. See photos.
