Stayed at Jumbo Jan 31 to Feb 4. About 60cm of new snow at the hut over that time. Great skiing on treed slopes either side of the pass. Feb 1, test pits on 35 deg slopes above the hut showed sudden planar results on the Jan 11 interface down 80, moderate on S aspects and hard on SE. HS 305cm at 2350. A wind event on Feb 2 formed windslabs that were easily ski cut. Small windslabs at slid out of alpine lee pockets. No other signs observed skiing. No signs of instability below tree line from our outings. On the sled out, we saw that many of the north facing paths in Jumbo crk slid up to sz 3 during our stay. Nothing reached the road but chunky debris well into fans. Poor visibility hindered our observations for the duration but blower pow made up for it. Nothing missing at the hut.
