We had a great day for the Spearhead Traverse with sunny skies, light southerly winds and fairly cool temps. Travel was quite fast but variable and crampons with skinny skis a must. Conditions are going to change a lot this weekend though!

It looks like recent serac falls triggered a persistent slab at the Fitzsimmons Glacier. Measurements are guesstimates. The crown was thicker on the lookers right side, and it maybe failed on the December 1st MFcr/Fc persistent weak layer that is otherwise dormant.
