The waterfall was passible with a short bootpack or a detoured skin track (put up by another group). Hector pass is completely windswept with much-exposed rock. Any remaining snow is greatly wind affected. Gaining the bench between 2500m-2700m was exposed rock. Measured temp in the sun at -14C. Snow coverage was present after 2700m to summit. Ski crampons recommended with current conditions. Hector Glacier still has a lot of bare ice directly under the summit.
