Weather

Skies were scattered, no precip, winds from the W/ WSW were strong, likely reaching extreme on ridgetops at ~11400 ft. There was moderate to intense blowing snow on ridge tops and even BTL.

Snowpack

Dug a very hasty pit on a NE aspect at 11000 feet on a 27 degree slope. Did not do a complete layer ID but HS was 140cm. Fist hard up to 45cm (late dec interface), overlain by about 20 cm of 1F and the upper pack was 4F. CT 14 SP up 45 cm, ECTX. When I really hammered on the ECTX it did fracture at the 45cm interface but did not propagate.

Avalanche

Observed some old hard slab debris in hotdog bowl below a NE aspect but did not see a crown line. There were also fresh slides on south diamond and south of Montgomery bowl, which have already been reported.
