Dense, creamy storm snow. See accident from 12/24 for typical snow profile.

Avalanche

"Ptarmigan", S Diamond Peak, Cameron Pass NE aspect, 11,800' to 11,300' Natural slide occuring (estimated) Thurs pm/early am Fri. Common misconception that this slope is "safe", but it does slide. Debris piled deep in spots (~20'-22') and spread across bench covering normal skin track.
