overcast, s2, 20-24F light w wind at moraine ridge crest, 8770'

Snowpack

considerable storm snow, became wind affected and much more set up from prev. day loose blower white smoke. set up, upside down except where protected in timber, evidence of strong winds (tree streamlines behind trees) overnight. at 8400-8800'. snowpit on to n side of bear tree ridge at 8800', 100 m above snowboard girl tree. stupid weak CT failures: at 1: SP Q1 @130 base of storm snow (storm interface); 8 : SC Q1 @110 at base of storm snow (faceted M/F crust w poss surf hoar on crust); 12 : SP Q1 base of old burried crust 22 SC Q1 @70 cm (old crust?) ECT 1, 110 full block of fist hard storm snow on top off M/F crust (surface hoar?), block crumbled after propagation and initial movement
