Northern San Juan

Weather
Partly cloudy skies, winds were light to calm. Temperatures reached the teens on Slumgullion and 20s in the North Canyon section.
Snowpack
Warm enough for plenty of wet roller action, but only a few small wet loose slides on sunny aspects well below treeline.
Avalanche
In the 50 miles on CO 149 between Creede and Lake City, I observed numerous large natural avalanches from the recent storm/avalanche cycle. Although numerous, I wouldn't call the activity widespread. Mostly NW-N-E aspects near and above TL, R4 to D2.5-3 in size running on the ground.
