Frosty Mountain (Continental Divide) West of Rollinsville. South of Radiobeacon Mountain. Southeast Aspect Approx 12,000' Sunny with minimal wind, air temps increasing throughout the morning. When we departed the East Portal Trailhead at 7:45 AM, air temp was 34. Unsure of air temperature at time of incident (11:43 AM), but would estimate mid 40s

Snowpack

Firm snow began rapidly softening after 11 AM during the final sections of skin track and bootpack the above Arapahoe Creek.

Avalanche

Wet Slab. Propogated south from the skier for approximately 30 yards. Slid from just below 12,000' for approximately 300 feet.
