20 degrees and sunny in the morning when we travelled, very light winds.

Snowpack

Widespread whumpfs and shooting cracks (over 100 feet) on northwest and west aspects between 11.4k and 11.8k feet in trees at the foot of US Basin.

Avalanche

Observed an avalanche of unknown release trigger but suspected skier- or snowboarder-triggered from skin track. Debris ran approximately 100' down steep embankment to the edge of skintrack on CR14. 12-20" crown, start zone ~80 feet wide (maybe R2, D1.5).
