Weather

Winds were moderate at all elevations with very cold temperatures. I measured 4 inches of snow with .42" of water at my house. Surprisingly dense and it felt that way on skis.

Snowpack

Winds drifted snow into ~12" thick slabs. The wind-drifted snow was stiff, dense and very cohesive. Not a hard slab, just a dense soft slab. Lots of shooting cracks and collapsing. Looking through the obs, John Mackinnon was in the same area prior to me. His ob covers it well. I traveled same aspects and elevations. N-NW, BTL, ATL
