Weather
Warm temperatures. Clear skies. Westerly winds were light most of the day with the occasional gust. Winds picked up later in the afternoon around 3 PM
Snowpack
Snowpack was thin below treeline, averaging 30-45cm and composed of entirely facets. The south aspects were damp up to at least 10,600 feet on my way up and crusted on my way down. Higher up in the drainage near treeline the snowpack was deeper and mostly more supportable. A mix of a faceted snowpack in areas sheltered from the wind and wind blasted pencil hard surfaces exposed to the wind. Observed several old avalanche crowns that had mostly been blown back in. Hard to estimate when they occurred. I did not see any recent activity in the area.
