We lakit a lot!

Got up to treeline at Lakit where we found 30 cm of very light dry snow over the crust from early December. Our snow pit had us worried with how shallow and rotten the snow was but the December crust is over top of most of the bad snow and holding things together. It's something to watch as this cold weather continues though and that crust deteriorates. Skiing down we had a few small dry loose avalanches so we skied one at a time and stopped occasionally to let the loose snow pass us.
