Skied the west slopes below cirque sub-peak. Avoided the high alpine assuming wind slabs, but found good powder from around 100m above treeline all the way to the highway. Found so signs of instability or avalanches. South aspects at the edge of gullies had a very shallow snowpack (5-10cm, presumably wind-blown). It would be nice to see the snowpack 30-50cm deeper as there’s still a few land sharks hiding out there. But enough coverage to ski out through the trees pretty easily, which was a nice surprise at the end of the day.
