Snowpack

On the way up we had 3 different snow types. 1400-1600 through the trees very mellow super light lots of whomping when we skied up 1600-1750m little steeper not much littler heavier snow lots whomping smaller cracks. One steep section of 30m where we triggered a small slide the whole hill cracked at the top roughly 5m long and 35cm deep. Didn’t slide far 1750-2000m the snow was heavier but no cracking or whomping did a pit test there seemed very well bonded

Comment

Wasn’t serious while skinning up had a feeling this one 20m steep section could go on the convex. On the way down being very cautious made a sharp turn at the top. 5m crack and dropped to the 35cm crust mark at 1750m. Didn’t run far.
