Avalanche

Avalanche was Skier triggered on open face that sits above aspen & conifer trees above the midnite mine rd. Vertical drop was ~250' across the the road and into the forest below the road. The avalanche was reported to the Aspen Mtn Ski Patrol @ ~1:30 pm and a hasty team traveled to the site via road from Gondola area. Patrol searched w/ a dog, beacon, recco and probed likely areas. Debris on the road averaged 225 cm- 290cm and was soft slab.
