Dug an ECT pit in an open boulder field and total depth varied < > 80cm - 90cm due to boulders. Top surface had hoar growth < > .5-1 cm Top layer to 15 cm down was PP/FC with an easy fist (F), at 16-17 cm we had what appeared to be a MF layer (1F), 18-37 down was FC (4F), and the bottom layer was RG (hard 1F) all the way to the boulders with good bonding. ECTN3 on upper layer. Bottom layer was an ECTX. It appears that the upper layer from the top down to 37cm is not bonded and may slide on the old, hard slab below.
