Forgot how to get to the snowpit software, so here goes: HN for the most recent cycle (210 - 240 cm in profile): 30 cm, Glove -, degenerated stellars 1-2 mm 175 - 210 cm: facets/melt-freeze crystals, 1F+, 2-4 mm 168 - 175 cm: Dust layer, 1F-, facets/melt-freeze, 2-3 mm 150 - 168 cm: Rounds, 1F+, 1-2 mm 120 - 150 cm: Rounds, Pen, 1 mm Pit bottom (100 cm) to 120 cm: facets, 2-3 mm, 4F Snow temps: -1.2 at surface, -.8 at 230 cm, ranging from -.5 to -.3 from 220 cm to bottom of pit. Tests: STEQ3 and CT21Q3 @225 cm STVQ1 and CT23Q1 @ 175 cm (dust layer) STHQ1 and CT26Q1 @ 160 cm STVQ1 @ 130 cm Ski Pen: 25 cm Boot Pen: 30 cm No cracking experienced or avalanche activity observed. Collapsing experienced on very low-angle north-facing slope in aspens. Old snow was isothermic below crust. No other collapsing observed. I have to note that this is the first incident of collapsing I've experienced all season!
