cool temps through the day and very light snow. 10cm of storm total sitting on dust layer. this showed consistent reactive arresting failures on ct and ect and reactive on shovel tilt test. calm winds with no moving snow observed at ridge tops.
Snowpack
at 9520 N face we had HS to date at 106 with previous wind slab development resting on upper snowpack near surface faceting layer interface at 60cm. CT moderate and ECTP moderate results on this interface. 10cm of storm snow sitting on dust layer with repeated arresting failures and reactive shovel tilt tests. Depth Hoar observed at 26cm interface but not reactive to tests. Snow surface was new snow and skinning from 8600 feet heading S in drainage of babbish gulch we found mostly supportive snow to ski penetration but unsupportive to snowshoe. Boot pen at 9520 N aspect was to ground.
