Weather
Weather: Few clouds and gusty northwesterly winds blowing snow all day long.
Snowpack
Snowpack: BTL slopes where mostly weak and faceted with the Jan 11 SH down 15-20cm. A couple pits at 10,700ft on NTL slope had similar results. HS 120cm. Multiple CTM SC results on Jan 11th SH down 25cm. ECTN on the same interface. Persistent Slab structure existed at this elevation but was unreactive. Storm totals from Friday and Saturday where 2-3" and felt less slaby then the day before in wind protected areas. Windslabs where the only instability observed.
Avalanche
Avalanches: Windslabs where producing shooting crack 10ft away at ridgline under the weight of a skier and up to 6" deep. They were stubborn on this terrain feature. On a BTL small windloaded slope a skier triggered a 20ft wide windslab up to 8" deep.
