Warm temperatures, perfectly clear skies and very light westerly winds.
Snowpack
The north and northeast facing slopes of the bowl are still holding an average of 125cm of well-consolidated snow. Other aspects are bare ground. The top 8-10 cm of the snowpack was very wet corn at 3pm, over a melt-freeze crust. This is the snow from earlier in the week. Bonding was marginal, and it was easy to push this snow off of this crust with your skis. Below this, the snowpack is kinfe-hard wet rounds to the ground. No other layering visible, no results on CT or ECT. The lower part of the bowl is quickly melting out, even on the shady aspects, and it is getting increasingly difficult to imagine an avalanche making the road. All paths besides Hairpin and Lone Tree bowls are melted to bare ground.
